Risk Based Approach
When dealing with control, or risk mitigation, the solution must fit the problem and address the risk first.
This page outlines how I work, what I value, and how experience across complex technical environments, community involvement, and hands on practice shapes the way I deliver.
I do my best work in complex, technology driven environments where structure, clarity, and delivery discipline matter. I focus on establishing clear ownership, reducing ambiguity early, and ensuring decisions are traceable across systems, teams, and time.
I am comfortable operating across modern delivery models, including Agile and iterative environments, adapting governance, risk, and control thinking so it supports delivery rather than constraining it. My aim is always to build approaches that hold up under scrutiny while still allowing teams to evolve.
I care deeply about outcomes, but equally about how they are achieved. Calm delivery, sound governance, and practical controls are most effective when paired with an environment that values accountability, continuous improvement, and rewards strong performance.
I am particularly interested in roles within education, charity, and socially responsible organisations, where reliable operations, strong governance, and effective use of technology directly support people and communities.
Alongside this, I am motivated by challenging technical roles in complex environments, especially where organisations invest in improving how work is done, support personal development, and recognise high quality delivery.
I value cultures that reward thoughtful problem solving, encourage ownership, and treat continuous improvement as part of normal work rather than a side initiative.

Simply put, doing things juist becauase that is how they have always been done is not a valid reason.
Define the problem, constraints, and success measures early. Reduce misunderstanding before it becomes expensive.
Make ownership visible. Decisions should have a rationale, and delivery should have a clear path to completion.
Build repeatable processes. Prefer controls and documentation that work in real life, not just on paper.
Good work happens when people are supported: clear expectations, reasonable load, psychological safety, and time to improve.
I am involved locally in roles that reflect trust, responsibility, and service. I keep the focus practical; helping people access essential tools and services, and supporting governance where it matters.
I volunteer as a Vice Chair of Governors, supporting oversight, accountability, and long term decision making in an education setting.
I help people with tech and access to online services; practical, patient support that removes barriers and helps others navigate essential systems.
Outside formal roles, I keep my skills grounded through hands on making. For me, this isn't "personal lifestyle content" it's a way to stay sharp: iterating, learning tools properly, and finishing what I start.
Design to output iteration: improving prints, troubleshooting failures, learning material behaviour, and refining small production workflows.
Planning and executing physical projects; planning, sequencing work, solving problems as constraints change, and delivering safe, usable outcomes.
